How POD works with Copper
POD fund assets are held with Copper in accounts in each fund's name, segregated from POD's own assets and from every other fund. Withdrawal authority is separated from the manager's trading authority: the manager can direct trades, but moving assets out of custody requires the platform's controls. Where ClearLoop supports a venue, the fund can trade with assets delegated from custody rather than deposited on the exchange.
Copper is the custodian named in each fund's due-diligence pack, and the custody arrangement is the first thing an operational due-diligence review checks. Having it in place at launch is one of the reasons a POD fund can pass that review at a size where a standalone fund could not.
