Dealing frequency is a liquidity term: the more frequent the dealing, the more liquid the fund is for investors and the more operational work the administrator does. A monthly-dealing fund prices and settles orders twelve times a year; a daily-dealing fund does so every business day.
Each dealing produces a contract note for every investor who traded, confirming the NAV, the number of units and the settlement amount.
